When you purchase fonts, just like any other software, you actually purchase a license to use them on a certain number of computer devices (CPU’s). The following covers our basic guidelines for font licensing.
Standard End User LicenseAll Parachute fonts are licensed to use on up to five (5) CPU’s at a single location. Read EULA for terms and conditions. If you wish to use the fonts at more than one location or with more than five CPU’s, you must acquire additional licensing.
Multi-User License
If you need to use the fonts on more than five CPU’s you must purchase additional licensing. The cost is based on the number of users. When you proceed to the ordering page you will be asked to indicate the number of users and the program will calculate the cost for you. Find out just how affordable it is to stay legal with your font software. Basically, multi-user licensing is governed by the following formulas:
1 - 5 CPU’s:(standard license)
6 -10 CPU’s: add 50 percent
11-50 CPU’s: add 25% for each 5 CPU’s
51-100 CPU’s: add 15% for each 5 CPU’s
101-200 CPU’s: add 10% for each 5 CPU’s
over 200 CPU’s: add 5% for each 5 CPU’s
Corporate
Allows companies, with many computers, to install and use the fonts on an unlimited numbers of CPU’s at one particular site (location). This can prove to be quite less expensive than buying a multi-user license. Call for a quote.
Corporate Plus
Allows unlimited distribution throughout a company on a worldwide basis. Applies to multinational companies with many offices (locations) around the world. Call for a quote.
OEM License
Allows pre-installed fonts to be delivered together with the manufacturer's equipment (hardware) or other software. Prices vary depending on number of fonts and number of copies. Please call for a quote.
